Volume II, Number 5 December, 2006

Leaders celebrate the successes of their followers. Celebrations come in varying sizes and are composed of diverse activities. Great teams yearn and anticipate celebrating together - in fact, they plan for these important and recurring events.

Celebrate and congratulate the people on your team by noting their effective decisions (relationships) and honorable actions (functions). Be specific and truly enthusiastic about your people and what they achieve. What have you and your organization accomplished that apart from them would not have occurred?

Contributions come in all shapes and multiple magnitudes - so should celebrations. Match them. Be creative and take the initiative to celebrate your team members for who they are and what they do.
