Perfection Is Not the Goal

Perfection is not the goal.  It can’t be achieved.  Perseverance, however, is the goal.  Perseverance is seen in the attitudes and actions of the positive work place.

Perseverance is the approach your team uses to accomplish tasks, fulfill responsibilities, and overcome challenges.  Perseverance is the undying motivation to stay the course because it’s right, and to finish jobs well because the team is committed to excellence.

A persevering person places duties in proper perspective.  Prioritization is never assumed; rather, decided and made known.  Time lines are integral parts of job completion.  Providing accurate information, following proper reporting systems, mid-course corrections, and celebrations are part of persevering, too.

Leaders and teams who persevere for the right reasons and in the right ways don’t expect perfection.  But they sure do a good job.
