Tested, Tried, and Proven True

When a team gets down to accomplishing business the strengths of relationships may be tried, especially in difficult times.  Mere assumptions about relationships don’t go very far when a team confronts negative issues—indeed assumptions are revealed for their inadequacies if relationships are sacrificed on an altar of expediency.  Bottom line: we can’t assume a relationship—we have to continually reinforce it.

True motives and methods are revealed from a team’s actions when the pressure is high and the heat is turned up.  When your team confronts challenges in relationships (the decisions members make about one another’s success) or functions (the tasks that prove the relationships) what do you see and, upon investigation, do you need to confront and resolve?

True strengths are shown in times of test.  Strong relationships survive and thrive even when challenges are daunting.  Communication grows and the team willingly shows its true colors when solutions come from dedicated people who cherish and build the relationships that bind them together.
